Shearman & Sterling Advises on Senior Notes for American Tower Corporation

Shearman & Sterling represented the underwriters, led by RBS and other joint bookrunning managers Barclays Capital, BofA Merrill Lynch, Credit Agricole CIB and RBC Capital Markets, on the shelf takedown of $500 million of 5.900% Senior Notes due 2021 for American Tower Corporation. American Tower Corporation, a wireless and broadcast communications infrastructure company with a portfolio of over 38,000 communications sites, including wireless and broadcast towers located in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and India, plans to use the proceeds to pay down debt and to finance acquisitions in the United States, Ghana, Colombia and South Africa.

Simpson Thacher Represents J.P. Morgan in Committed Financing for Superior Energy Services, Inc.’s Acquisition of Complete Production Services, Inc.

Simpson Thacher is representing J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as lead arranger and bookrunner in connection with the $1.7 billion committed financing for the $2.7 billion acquisition of Complete Production Services, Inc. by Superior Energy Services, Inc.  The merger is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2011.
