The International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that Alan R. Greenfield has joined its Chicago office as a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. He will focus on domestic and international franchising, licensing and distribution matters. A member of the Florida bar, Greenfield will also spend time in the firm’s Miami office.

White & Case Advises on ČEZ US$1 Billion Bond Offering

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised on the US$1 billion two-part bond issuance by ČEZ, a.s. (České Energetické Závody). The Firm represented Barclays Bank PLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs International and Société Générale as joint lead managers on the issue. The offering is comprised of US$700 million tranche of 4.250% notes due 2022 and US$300 million tranch of 5.625% notes due 2042.

Simpson Thacher recently represented Goldman, Sachs & Co. as sole placement agent in the private placement of $128 million in equity securities of Legend Pictures, LLC, the parent company of Legendary Entertainment.
