Littler’s Chicago Office Lands a Group of Three Strengthening Firm’s National Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice

Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has added a group of three attorneys to the firm’s expanding Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Two new shareholders and an associate from Seyfarth Shaw LLP—David M. Weiner, Judith L. Wethall and D. Finn Pressly—have joined Littler’s Chicago office. The trio brings with them extensive retirement benefit, health and welfare benefit and executive compensation experience. Their arrival follows a string of recent additions to the firm’s national Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice, including Joni Andrioff (Chicago), Mark Grushkin (Los Angeles), Sam Stein (Los Angeles) and Dan Wille (Pittsburgh), who all joined Littler in the last six months.

K&L Gates Expands Labor & Employment Practice with Portland Partner Addition

Davis Polk – MRC Global Inc.’s $477 Million Initial Public Offering

Davis Polk advised Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Barclays Capital Inc., as representatives of the underwriters, in connection with MRC Global Inc.’s initial public offering of 22,727,273 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $21 per share. Of those shares, MRC sold 17,045,455 shares and a selling stockholder (PVF Holdings LLC, an entity controlled by funds affiliated with Goldman, Sachs & Co.) sold 5,681,818 shares. The common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “MRC.” Funds affiliated with Goldman, Sachs & Co. controlled approximately 99% of MRC prior to the offering and control approximately 77% of MRC after the offering.
