Covington Advises SandRidge Energy in $130 Million Sale of Tertiary Assets to Morgan Stanley Global Private Equity

Covington advised SandRidge Energy, Inc. on the sale of its non-core tertiary recovery business for $130 million to Morgan Stanley Global Private Equity portfolio company Trinity CO2 Investments. The divested properties are located in West Texas and currently produce approximately 1,100 barrels of oil per day.

Morgan Lewis to Expand Energy Transactions Capabilities with New Co-Managing Partner in Beijing

Morgan Lewis today announced that it will expand in China with the addition of Ingrid Zhu-Clark—a well-respected energy transactions practitioner and former office managing partner at two international firms—who will join the firm as a partner in its Business and Finance practice, resident in Beijing. Davis Polk – Energizer $500 Million Notes Offering

Davis Polk advised Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated as joint book-running managers and representatives of the several underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by Energizer Holdings, Inc. of $500 million aggregate principal amount of its 4.7% senior notes due 2022. The notes are unconditionally guaranteed by all existing and future subsidiaries of Energizer that are guarantors on the company’s credit agreements or other indebtedness for borrowed money.
