Energy regulation attorney Paul Forshay has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the Public Policy & Regulation Group. He advises clients on compliance with federal and state regulations and represents them in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state commissions. Mr. Forshay was previously a partner at Eversheds Sutherland, where he co-chaired the liquefied natural gas (LNG)/natural gas regulatory practice.
King & Spalding today announced that Dale Giali, Keri Borders and Michael Resch have joined as partners on its FDA and Life Sciences team. Giali and Borders will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, and Resch will be resident in the San Francisco office. Giali and Borders join from Mayer Brown, where they co-led the food and beverage practice, and they are reuniting with Resch, a former Mayer Brown partner who most recently served as general counsel at Amy’s Kitchen, a leader in the frozen food and soup categories.
Mayer Brown announced today that Evan Kelson joined its Banking & Finance practice as a partner in New York, adding significant depth to its asset finance, receivables financing and securitization capabilities. Mr. Kelson joins from Reed Smith.

Asher Funk, an attorney who focuses on representing health care providers in transactions, regulatory counseling, compliance matters, government investigations, and enforcement actions, has joined Troutman Pepper’s Health Sciences Transactional Practice Group in Chicago as a partner. Funk comes to the firm from Polsinelli PC, and is the sixth attorney to join the firm’s national Health Sciences Department in recent months. In April, the firm welcomed three partners to the team, data privacy Partner Jonathan Ishee and corporate Partners Geoff Starr and Abe Kwon. Lori Trujillo and Brian Wong also joined the firm as counsel in its Los Angeles and New York offices, respectively, earlier this month.
