Shearman & Sterling Advises NGP Energy Capital Management on $3.586 Billion Fund

Shearman & Sterling advised NGP Energy Capital Management (NGP) in the closing of NGP Natural Resources X, L.P., a $3.586 billion private equity fund. NGP X will continue NGP Energy Capital Management’s 23-year history as a premier provider of private capital and sponsorship to the natural resources industry, focusing on oil and gas production, oilfield services, and the energy mid-stream sectors through its Natural Gas Partners investment platform and focusing on the water resources and services and food and agriculture sectors through its NGP Global Adaptation Partners investment platform. NGP X will be managed by NGP, bringing the cumulative capital managed by NGP and its affiliates since inception to a total of $13 billion.

Bracewell Represents Noble Energy, Inc. in $617 Million Sale of Mid-Continent Properties

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is representing Noble Energy, Inc. in its announced sale of certain oil and natural gas properties in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle to Unit Petroleum Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unit Corporation, for $617 million. The properties include Noble Energy’s interest in about 900 producing wells on approximately 84,000 net acres.

Global law firm White & Case LLP advised a group of lenders, including African Development Bank (AfDB), FMO, West African Development Bank, EBID (ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development), BMCE Bank of Foreign Trade, the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF) and the African Finance Corporation (AFC), for the financing, design, construction and operation of a toll bridge in Abidjan, which is located in the Ivory Coast. The financing will result in a toll bridge that is a strategic asset, linking the boroughs of Riviera and Marcory over the Ebrié laguna. It will be the third bridge connecting the city of Abidjan.
