Simpson Thacher Represents the Initial Purchasers in $350 Million Senior Notes Offering by Laureate Education, Inc.

The Firm recently represented the initial purchasers, led by Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, in connection with a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering by Laureate Education, Inc. (“Laureate”) of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 9.250% senior notes due 2019. The offering closed on July 25, 2012.

Travers Smith Acts on US$104m Placing and Open Offer by Raven Russia

Travers Smith corporate partner Richard Spedding is leading a team advising Singer Capital Markets as sponsor, joint financial adviser and broker in connection with a proposed US$215m acquisition by Raven Russia Limited, and a US$104m placing and open offer of preference shares to part-finance the acquisition. Raven Russia, listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, is acquiring Toros, the owner of Pushkino Logistics Park – a class A logistics complex north-east of Moscow.
