Mr. Simon’s practice encompasses many aspects of patent work, including patent portfolio development and management, infringement and validity risk analysis, as well as licensing and transactional IP due diligence. His technical expertise includes materials science, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, chemistry, electronics and photonics. Mr. Simon has broad experience serving clients engaged in development and manufacture of superabrasive and superhard materials used in cutting tools and bearings, oil and gas exploration drilling systems, implantable medical devices (such as stents and embolic filters), alloys for implantable medical devices (superelastic and shape-memory alloys), fiber optics, lasers and micro-electro-mechanical systems. He also has experience in trademark matters.
