Burleson LLP announced today that it has completed a move into its new offices in Midland Tower, the latest step in the energy law firm’s ongoing commitment to serving clients in the Permian Basin.

Burleson now occupies the fourth floor of the building at 223 West Wall St.  The firm’s attorneys in Midland focus almost exclusively on all aspects of oil and gas law, including litigation, condemnations, title examinations, acquisitions, divestitures, environmental issues, water issues, and ad valorem taxation disputes.

Andrews Myers Expands Regional Presence with new Downtown Austin Location

Andrews Myers PC today announced its expansion in Texas with the opening of an office in San Jacinto Center at 98 San Jacinto Blvd, Suite 300, Austin. The new office is the culmination of a longstanding desire by Andrews Myers to enter the capital city’s progressive and entrepreneurial market and the Central Texas region. Many of the firm’s Texas corporate law clients have operations in the Central Texas region, and this office will allow Andrews Myers to improve service to those clients and develop new relationships.  The Austin office opens with Jason Spencer, new firm Shareholder and Texas construction law attorney. Cozen O’Connor Continues Growth, Adds Lateral Attorneys In Florida and Los Angeles

Cozen O’Connor continues to grow with the addition of two senior lateral attorneys: corporate transactions attorney Jahan S. Islami, who joins the firm as a partner in the Florida office, and commercial litigator Matthew S. Steinberg, who joins the firm as a partner in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Islami previously was with K&L Gates. Mr. Steinberg previously was with Greenberg Traurig, and was the founding partner of that firm’s Los Angeles office.  With the addition of Messrs. Islami and Steinberg, Cozen O’Connor has acquired 35 lateral attorneys, and has opened two new offices in West Palm Beach, Florida and Minneapolis, Minnesota since January 2013.

Holland & Knight Opens Dallas Office

Holland & Knight announced the opening today of its 18th U.S. office in Dallas, Texas.  The office will initially include 12 partners who practice in the areas of corporate and commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and bankruptcy: James C. Chadwick, M. Matthew Fontane, Michelle White Suarez, Robert W. Jones, Scott C. Wallace, Kenneth M. Vesledahl, Fred S. Stovall, James L. Baker, Eric W. Kimball, Anthony J. Herrera, Brent R.
