National Law Firm Hires Three Attorneys

National law firm Chamberlain Hrdlicka announced the addition of three highly regarded bankruptcy attorneys to the firm’s Houston office. Shareholder Brian Kilmer and Associates Renee Bayer and Brian Roman joined the firm effective Feb. 1.

“We are pleased to expand the firm’s bankruptcy expertise with the addition of these talented attorneys, who will also work closely with our Corporate, Securities & Finance Section,” said Wayne Risoli, Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s managing shareholder. “I’d like to extend our official welcome to Brian Kilmer, Renee Bayer and Brian Roman, all of whom join us from the law firm of Okin Adams & Kilmer LLP. Shareholder Brian Kilmer’s practice focuses on representing debtors, unsecured creditors’ committees and secured creditors in complex Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts in a wide array of industries and jurisdictions. Mr. Kilmer has also regularly represented secured creditors in single asset cases, acquirers of distressed assets and debtors, and post-confirmation trustees.

Associate Renee Bayer’s practice will focus on corporate reorganization and financial restructurings, representing debtors, creditors and creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 cases.

Brian Roman is a trial lawyer whose practice will focus on commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation matters. Brian’s experience includes representation of three Chinese state-owned financial institutions in the prosecution of litigation involving their investments in the United States and China; management of a docket of more than 200 asbestos/silicosis cases, and obtained policy limits settlements in multiple products liability actions involving commercial machinery.
