Cassandra Mott has been  hired by international law firm Thompson & Knight, according to a press release this week.  The partner will join the firm’s Houston finance practice group.

With clients from the energy, healthcare, and insurance sectors, her corporate practice focuses on transactional finance work.  Mott has expeirence with leveraged buyouts and private equity funds both domestically and internationally, along with a variety of financing facilities.

“Cassandra plays an integral role in the Firm’s strategy to expand our Finance Practice in the corporate and middle market lending sectors, building upon our strength in the energy finance sector,” said Shad E. Sumrow, the Firm’s Finance Practice Group Leader. “Her significant expertise on the lending issues encountered by these companies will be a tremendous asset for our Firm and our valued clients.”

Ms. Mott, who was previously with Jones Day, is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and the Ohio State University School of Law.
