Bracewell Represents Sellers in Sale of $244 Million Cogeneration Power Plant

Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP represented Atlantic Power Corporation, John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) and Rockland Capital, LLC in their sale of Gregory Power Partners, L.P. to NRG Energy, Inc.

Gregory Power Partners, L.P. owns and operates a 400 MW (nominal capacity) gas-fired, combined-cycle cogeneration power generation facility located near Corpus Christi, Texas. The facility provides steam, processed water and a small percentage of its electrical generation to an alumina plant owned by Sherwin Alumina, L.P. The majority of the baseload power generation is available for sale in ERCOT.
