Haynes and Boone Houston Welcomes Walter Keneally

Walter Keneally has joined Haynes and Boone, LLP as a partner in the firm’s Energy Practice Group.

Keneally represents and counsels developers, investors, utilities and contractors in all legal aspects of domestic and international energy and industrial project development, finance, and acquisitions and divestitures. He has substantial experience in the development, acquisition and sale of merchant coal, gas, biomass, solar and wind power plants, cogeneration facilities, refining and chemical plants, pipeline, processing and storage facilities and similar assets. In the past few years, his practice has focused on renewable energy projects, particularly wind and solar.

Keneally advises clients in the structuring of project ownership, including joint ventures and other special purpose entities, and negotiates and drafts equity and debt financing instruments, including non-recourse financing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and project agreements such as turbine and module supply, balance of plant, EPC, O&M, offtake, tolling, equipment supply and other service agreements in connection with energy and industrial projects. He is recognized by Chambers Global, The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business for Projects in 2013.
