Porter Hedges Grows Energy Litigation Practice with New Partner Jeff Weems

Jeff Weems has joined Porter Hedges as a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. After years of working on rigs and as a landman, he has practiced energy law for over 23 years, concentrating on litigation. Mr. Weems primarily represents working interest owners in a variety of energy-related disputes. He also represents service companies, midstream companies and royalty owners.

Jeff is active in the American Petroleum Institute – Houston, the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners, and the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL). He is currently a member of the AAPL task force assigned to rewrite the AAPL Model Form Operating Agreement.

Prior to Porter Hedges, Jeff was a partner at Harrison, Bettis, Staff, McFarland & Weems, LLP. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.B.A., with high honors, from The University of Texas.
