Private Equity Partner Peng Yu Rejoins Weil in Hong Kong

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Peng Yu is rejoining the Firm as a partner in the Global Private Equity Group and will be based in the Hong Kong office. Peng started his career at Weil in the Hong Kong office and is the 18th partner to return to the Firm since the beginning of 2023.Peng rejoins Weil from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was a partner in that firm’s Hong Kong office.

Peng focuses his practice exclusively on private equity matters and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience advising global and regional private equity and corporate clients on a wide range of strategically important transactions, including buyouts, take-privates, PIPEs, growth capital investments, divestitures, joint ventures and other cross-border transactions, particularly those with a China nexus.
