Freshfields Advises HSBC on US$9.4bn Sale of Its Entire Shareholding in Ping An Insurance

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised HSBC Holdings plc on the sale of its entire shareholding in Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd, representing 15.57% of the issued share capital of Ping An Insurance.

The shares will be sold to four indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries of Charoen Pokphand Group Company Limited, the Thai conglomerate, for an aggregate purchase price of approximately US$9.4 billion.
