Sullivan & Cromwell LLP announced today that Joze Vranicar will join the Firm as a partner in its Capital Markets Group, based in New York. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Mr. Vranicar serves as Counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
Mr. Vranicar has extensive experience advising U.S. and non-U.S. issuers and financial institutions on a wide variety of public and private capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and other equity offerings, high-yield and investment-grade debt financings, equity-linked offerings and liability management and debt restructuring transactions. He also regularly advises on public reporting, securities compliance and corporate governance matters.

Mr. Vranicar advises companies across a variety of industries, including technology, financial services, energy, consumer products and retail, biotech, life sciences and industrials. Some of his recent representations include SpaceX’s $75 billion initial public offering, the $20 billion acquisition financing for Electronic Arts and Galaxy Digital’s corporate reorganization and capital raising transactions.

Mr. Vranicar received his LL.M from Harvard Law School, Magister Juris from the University of Vienna School of Law, and his J.D. from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law, with honors. In addition to English, he speaks German, Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian.
