Dentons is pleased to announce the arrival of Étienne Gadbois who has joined the Firm as a partner in our Tax group. Étienne is based in our Montréal office.
With more than 10 years of experience in taxation, Étienne practices in the commodity tax area and is proficient in federal and provincial sales taxes—including Canada’s goods and services tax (GST), harmonized sales tax (HST), Québec sales tax (QST), as well as land transfer taxes, and fuel, carbon, alcohol, tobacco, and other similar taxes. His practice focuses on contentious tax matters and involves mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, real estate transactions, joint ventures and the structuring of public-private partnerships.

Étienne obtained his law degree from the Université de Montréal, his master’s degree in taxation from HEC Montréal, and a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford.
Étienne started at the Firm on February 8, 2016.
