Kennedys Strengthens Marine and Offshore Energy Expertise with Partner Hire

We are delighted to welcome David McKie who joins as a partner in our London insurance division to strengthen the London element of our international marine practice.

David joins from Norton Rose and has nearly 20 years’ experience of working in the City helping London market, Lloyd’s and international insurance and commercial clients with marine insurance and shipping issues, from policy drafting and coverage advice to arbitration, litigation and mediation. His expertise extends to hull and machinery, liability, yachts, war risks, P&I, and facultative reinsurance as well as wet and dry shipping. David also has experience in aviation and off-shore energy and reinsurance disputes and international arbitration.

David’s appointment comes a month after marine, energy and construction specialist Graeme Baird arrived from Clyde & Co. The two will now drive the expansion of our international marine practice to meet the growing demand of our clients.

David McKie says:
