Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Knicole Emanuel has joined our firm as a Partner in our Litigation practice. Ms. Emanuel has more than ten years’ experience as an attorney specializing in Medicaid law. She understands the intricate Medicaid payment system, the unique business of health care providers, the overlay of federal and state Medicaid rules and regulations, and actions of state agencies that all affect the way healthcare entities operate.
Before joining Williams Mullen, Ms. Emanuel was an associate at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Attorney General in the Health and Public Assistance Section, where she gained a thorough understanding of the Medicaid system that informs her practice today.

A Cary native, Ms. Emanuel earned her B.A. from North Carolina State University and her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She has been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star in 2013.
