Ungaretti & Harris Expands Trusts & Estates Practice with Four New Laterals

Ungaretti & Harris has significantly expanded the depth of its Trusts and Estates practice with the addition of four lateral attorneys: Michael R. FriedbergJeffrey RambachElizabeth Shepard Schaub and Simon N. Johnson.

Michael R. Friedberg, 66, has joined Ungaretti & Harris as a partner and Chair of the Trusts and Estates Department from the Law Offices of Shefsky & Froelich. Mr. Friedberg is a well-known and highly regarded practitioner in trusts, estates and related business matters. He earned his J.D. from University of Chicago Law School in 1971 and his B.A. with honors in 1968 from Northwestern University.

Jeffrey Rambach, 52, has joined the Firm as a partner focusing on trusts and estates as well as Federal income tax and state tax matters. Previously, Mr. Rambach was a partner at several renowned law firms. He specializes in addressing complex wealth planning matters and tax issues. Mr. Rambach attended Georgetown University Law Center and received a LL.M in tax in 1989, earned his J.D. in 1986 from Tulane University Law School, and his B.S. in 1983 from Boston University. He clerked in the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.

Elizabeth Shepard Schaub, 41, has joined the Firm as counsel. Prior to joining Ungaretti & Harris, Ms. Schaub was employed at several prominent law firms and The Northern Trust Company. Ms. Schaub received her J.D. cum laude in 1996 from University of Notre Dame and her B.A. in 1993 from the University of Illinois.

Simon N. Johnson, 31, has joined as an associate in the Trusts and Estates Department. Previously, Mr. Johnson was a trusts and estates associate at an international law firm and at a prominent Chicago mid-sized firm. Mr. Johnson earned his J.D. in 2009 from Harvard Law School and his B.A. in 2005 from Harvard University.
