Top Ranked Energy Group Rejoins Hogan Lovells

Hogan Lovells announced today that nationally-regarded energy partners Kevin J. Lipson, Stefan M. Krantz, John R. Lilyestrom, and Christopher A. Schindler will return after just over a year at another law firm.

“These energy lawyers are among the best in the country and we are delighted to welcome them back to Hogan Lovells,” said Co-CEO Warren Gorrell.  “They recognize and appreciate our top-tier regulatory experience, the strength of our international project finance practice, and the global platform of high-quality lawyers with in-depth industry knowledge that we offer to clients.”

“We are excited to continue to build our energy practice at Hogan Lovells, one of the few international law firms with impressive energy capabilities, particularly in the regulatory, M&A transactions, and financial services industries,” said Lipson. “We look forward to rejoining our colleagues.”

The team of partners will rejoin Hogan Lovells’ Energy practice, representing interstate natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines, local distribution companies, investor-owned electric utilities, alternative energy project developments, shale oil and natural gas developers, storage companies, financial institutions, energy marketing and trading platforms, and liquefied natural gas project participants.

“The energy sector is obviously one of the most active industries in the world and this group provides additional capabilities in virtually every segment of the Energy practice including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) proceedings,” said Agnes Dover, Global Head of Hogan Lovells’ Government and Regulatory practice.

“We are pleased to welcome this group of partners back to the firm,” said Mary Anne Sullivan, Practice Area Leader of Hogan Lovells’ Energy Regulatory practice. “Their extensive backgrounds and deep knowledge of the energy industry, combined with our existing capabilities, give us an unparalleled depth and breadth in the sector that will expand our ability to serve our clients.”
