International law firm Pinsent Masons has strengthened its financial services team with the appointment of restructuring and insolvency expert Richard Tripp.
Richard, who joins in Leeds as a Partner from Eversheds, will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s growing reputation in the restructuring market. He has acted on several high profile matters including the administrations of Pindar Plc and Modus Group.

Richard joins a practice which has expanded significantly over the past 12 months and is – as one of the only law firm restructuring practices with a significant presence in all three UK legal jurisdictions – well-placed to win work on multisite UK-wide mandates.
In 2012 Pinsent Masons hired the 3-partner team of Nicholas Pike, Steve Cottee and Tom Withyman from LG, while more recently the firm appointed specialist banking litigator Michael Isaacs from Addleshaw Goddard and restructuring specialist Claire Massie from Dundas & Wilson to head up its Scotland and Northern Ireland Restructuring practice. Outside of the UK, the firm recently hired restructuring specialists Pierre Forget in Paris and Dr. Bernd-Uwe Stucken in Shanghai.
Over the last 12 months the Pinsent Masons Restructuring team has acted on some of the most high profile mandates in the market including the acquisition of Vion Food and Cobbetts LLP. The Restructuring team won the Turnaround Legal Advisor of the Year at the Institute for Turnaround European Awards in November 2012 and was also shortlisted for Insolvency Law Firm of the Year at the Insolvency and Rescue Awards in October 2012.
Richard joins the firm on 29 April.
