Eckert Seamans and Sterns & Weinroth Combine Practices

Eckert Seamans and Sterns & Weinroth are pleased to announce that they are combining their practices effective April 1, 2013. The merged firm, which will be known as Eckert Seamans, will result in the addition of a new Eckert Seamans office in Trenton, New Jersey and bring the firm’s total attorney count to more than 385.

The combined firm will provide Eckert Seamans’ clients with a greatly enhanced presence in New Jersey and will continue the firm’s expansion of its regional footprint. The firm will have over 130 lawyers in the New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia metropolitan markets. With the addition of the attorneys of Sterns & Weinroth, Eckert Seamans will further strengthen its existing capabilities in the core areas of litigation, real estate, land use, administrative, environmental and governmental affairs.

The combination with Sterns & Weinroth significantly enhances Eckert Seamans’ presence in the mid-Atlantic region with offices extending from Boston, Massachusetts to Richmond, Virginia. The addition of the Trenton office enables the firm to further expand its client base into New Jersey and will afford additional resources for its already existing clients in the region. The firm also recently opened offices in Newark, New Jersey and Providence, Rhode Island and, in January 2013 enhanced its presence in Boston with the addition of seven attorneys.
