Watson, Farley & Williams LLP (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Isuzu Motors Limited, the Japanese manufacturer of commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles and diesel engines, on its acquisition of the remaining issued share capital of Isuzu’s UK distribution company, Isuzu Truck (UK) Limited (“ITUK”).
Following completion of the acquisition, Isuzu has increased its shareholding in ITUK from approximately 15% to 100%.
ITUK has been a distributor of Isuzu trucks in the UK since 1996, with ITUK sales accounting for almost 40% of Isuzu sales in Europe. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Isuzu, ITUK now hopes to build on the strength of the Isuzu brand and increase Isuzu’s market share in Europe.
