K&L Gates Boosts Leading Insurance Coverage Practice with Newark Partner Addition

The Newark office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added John P. Scordo as a partner in the firm’s insurance coverage practice. Scordo joins K&L Gates from Day Pitney LLP.

Scordo counsels clients on liability, litigation, and insurance coverage issues involving privacy, data breach, and data protection. He has extensive experience in complex insurance claims and coverage matters concerning many types of policies, including general and professional liability, directors’ and officers’, property/business interruption, fiduciary, environmental, employment, life/accident, media/publishers, and health and group benefits, among others.

A commercial arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Scordo is well-versed in the numerous insurance coverage issues impacting the financial services industry. In the areas of commercial litigation, Scordo represents purchasers and suppliers in disputes involving large commercial supply contracts and defendants in personal injury and mass tort cases.
