McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) announced today that 15 members of the Aviation practice at Dombroff Gilmore Jaques & French (DGJ&F) will join the firm’s Litigation practice. With this new group of five partners, two of counsel, and eight associate counsel, MLA will add offices in Northern Virginia and Miami, Florida, expanding the firm’s presence to 15 offices in 12 markets.
The group will enhance MLA’s highly regarded Litigation and Government Contracts practices, further strengthening the areas of contract disputes, warranty claims, employment litigation, FAA enforcement actions, NTSB investigations and major airline disaster litigation. The attorneys have successfully represented numerous domestic and international airlines, airports, top defense industry contractors, manufacturers, fixed base operators, corporate flight departments, airport service providers, leading insurance providers, maintenance repair and overhaul facilities, and the whole range of the aviation industry.
“We are excited to add this group of aviation litigators to MLA,” said firm Chairman Jeff Haidet. “Adding their experience and our presence in Northern Virginia and South Florida positions MLA to provide a broader base of services and reach to our clients – a goal toward which we continually strive.”
The attorneys joining MLA’s Litigation practice include Partners: Thomas Almy, Morgan Campbell, Mark Dombroff, Dane Jaques and Mark McKinnon. MLA also welcomes Counsel Karen Berberich and Monica Irel and Associate Counsel Shaleeza Altaf, Matthew Clark, James Eastwood, Camilla Lee, Cecilia Littleton, John Oh, Darcy Osta, and Erin Slusser.
“We view this as a prime opportunity to align with MLA’s established legal and business strengths,” said Senior Partner Mark Dombroff. “Joining MLA enables us to provide a broader range of legal services and experience to our aerospace and defense clients,” Dombroff continued.
“These additions add depth to our core litigation practice as well as significantly supplement our regulatory and enforcement capabilities,” noted Tami Lyn Azorsky, head of MLA’s Litigation Practice. “Their practice will compliment a number of MLA’s areas of focus including product liability and toxic torts defense, insurance and government contracts, which will be a tremendous asset to the firm.”
