Husch Blackwell welcomes Partner Robert Stang to its Washington, D.C., office. Stang will focus his practice in the areas of customs and international trade law, bringing 30 years’ experience handling a diverse group of issues for importers including compliance matters and monetary assessments, supply chain security, classification, valuation and country of origin issues, special trade programs, Customs audits and legislative changes relevant to U.S. importers.
Stang most recently practiced customs and international trade law in the Washington, D.C., office of an international AmLaw 100 firm (2003-2013). Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Manager for the customs and international trade practice of Big Four accounting firm KPMG LLP in New York (2000-2003).
Stang received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. (1984) and his M.P.A. from Columbia University in New York (1984). He received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University (1978).
