DLA Piper Strengthens Corporate Practice with Dr Jürgen Sieger

The highly regarded Corporate / M&A specialist Dr Jürgen Sieger is joining the international law firm DLA Piper and will take up his position as a partner in the Cologne office as of 1 July 2013. Dr Sieger is moving to DLA Piper from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

During the period from 1988–2006, Dr Sieger was a partner with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and their predecessor firms. From there he moved to the Cologne office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in 2006, where he established a Corporate/M&A practice that is highly regarded on the German Legal market as well as in the Cologne region. For many years, Dr Sieger has been among the leading lawyers for Mergers & Acquisitions in Germany and has had a key advisory role in numerous large transactions.

Dr Sieger has extensive experience in a number of sectors of industry. in particular the insurance and technology sector.

At DLA Piper, in addition to his work as a lawyer, Dr Sieger will assume responsibility for the continued expansion of the German Corporate practice.
