Greenberg Traurig Expands Its Chicago Corporate & Securities Practice with the Addition of Fred W. Blakeslee II

The International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP said today that Fred W. Blakeslee II has joined its Chicago office as a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Blakeslee was a partner with another Chicago law firm.

Blakeslee will continue to focus his practice on corporate and securities matters, with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, divestures, private equity leveraged buyouts and growth-equity investments. He also represents private equity firms and their respective portfolio companies on business development and general corporate transactional matters.

“Fred is a seasoned deal lawyer who brings with him extensive experience and valuable skills. He will be a welcome addition to our already substantial and talented Corporate & Securities Practice, both in Chicago and firm-wide,” said Paul T. Blakeslee earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.S. (mathematics) and B.A. (political science), magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University.
