DLA Piper represented Fibra UNO, Mexico’s first publicly traded REIT, in its third global public offering before the Mexican Stock Exchange and in the international markets, valued at approximately US$1.7 billion.
Under the terms of the deal, Fibra UNO offered 600 million CBFIs (shares), including an overallotment option.
The deal marks the first time in Mexico that a company performed a hot deal option for the base public offer amount.
Members of the DLA Piper team also represented Fibra UNO on several other transactions, including its historic IPO that raised US$300 million in 2011, a US$700 million follow-on in April 2012, and a US$850 million private placement for a real estate acquisition in September 2012, among others.
The Mexico City-based team representing Fibra UNO in this latest transaction was led by DLA Piper’s Guillermo Uribe and also included Adrián Gay, Jorge Gonzalez, Cecilia Zaldivar, Mirna Ordaz and Santiago Soldevilla.
