Prominent Intellectual Property Lawyer Joins White and Williams

Frank A. Bruno has joined White and Williams LLP as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property group. He will reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Frank’s practice is focused on patent law. He has considerable experience in electrical and computer technologies with particular emphasis on software semiconductors and telecommunications. He has litigated patent cases, counseled start-up companies, and represented buyers, sellers, and lenders in corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and financings, where intellectual property was a significant asset.

“Frank’s background and experience, especially in patent law, enhances the IP services we offer our clients,” said Guy Cellucci, Managing Partner of the firm. “We are excited to have him join our team.”

As part of his practice, Frank writes opinions on patent validity and infringement, counsels clients regarding current and future patent portfolio strategies and assists clients in selecting trademarks for key brands.

He has handled matters for a variety of clients including a major Internet search provider, resellers of cellular phones and digital imaging companies. He has also handled corporate transactions for major banks, and prosecuted several hundred utility and design patent applications in the U.S. and over 20 countries and regions abroad.

Prior to joining White and Williams, Frank was a director at Gibbons law firm where his practice focused on patent law.
