Steven T. Catlett has joined the Schiff Hardin LLP Chicago office as a partner in the Labor and Employment Group from Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago.
Mr. Catlett practices nationally in all phases of employment litigation. His experience ranges from single plaintiff to large, nationwide cases, and his particular focus is on defending class action and multiparty litigation in the wage-hour, discrimination and ERISA areas. He also has substantial experience in trade secret and non-compete matters, negotiations and litigation related to executive employment agreements, restructuring litigation, and internal investigations and compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower claims.
Mr. Catlett is a seasoned appellate litigator in a variety of substantive areas and has practiced in the U.S. Supreme Court, 10 of the 13 Federal Courts of Appeals, and multiple state appellate courts. He has extensive experience and is one of the leading national practitioners in all manners of wage-hour class or collective action litigation, having served as lead counsel in dozens of cases covering the full range of substantive wage-hour issues across a wide variety of industries.
He graduated from Columbia University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and University of Pennsylvania (B.S., Accounting and Finance, cum laude, 1982).
