The Warsaw office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Lech Giliciński as a partner in its banking and finance practice, with a particular focus on restructuring and bankruptcy. He joins the firm from Wierzbowski Eversheds.
Giliciński advises Polish and multinational clients on corporate and financial restructurings as well as various banking and finance matters, private equity, and intellectual property issues. He serves as the World Bank’s country partner in Poland in the area of insolvency and restructuring, and was a principal legal advisor to the Minister of Justice and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the implementation of the Polish Bankruptcy and Restructuring Law.
“The European and Polish economies face great challenges, creating the necessity to tailor our activities to the needs of the market,” commented Maciej Jamka, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Warsaw office. “Restructuring and insolvency has emerged as a key practice on the legal services market as part of the broader banking and finance area.”
Giliciński stated: “I am delighted to join such a large group of professionals and am excited about the prospects of working within the K&L Gates network. I am certain that the resources of both K&L Gates’ Warsaw office and its global network will allow me to better serve the needs of my finance and restructuring clients.”
