Sidley Austin LLP Advises Nord/LB on the Completion of a Trade Receivables Financing

Sidley Austin LLP has advised Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (Nord/LB) on the successful completion of a trade receivables financing for Hansa Group AG. The transaction, done together with Raiffeisen Bank International, will provide Hansa Group AG cash proceeds of up to EUR 45m through the on-going purchase of receivables.

The Sidley deal team was led by Dr. Jens Rinze, whose practice focuses in capital markets and other finance industry-related transactions. Partner Werner Geisselmeier and associate Solmaz Sedighi Rad also were involved in this deal.

“Despite the decline of the general securitisations market during the recent financial crisis, trade receivables financings have seen solid development over the last few years,” said Rinze. “We were able to draw upon our vast experience in structured finance and securitisation to help reach a positive outcome for this transaction.”
