Global law firm White & Case has strengthened its Global Mining and Metals Industry Group with the appointment of Rebecca Campbell as partner in the London office.
“Rebecca’s addition continues the strategic expansion of the Firm’s global mining group,” said John Tivey, head of White & Case’s Global Mining and Metals Industry Group. “Very few lawyers have Rebecca’s expertise and experience, gained through working in Australia, New York and London, with top firms and with a world leading mining company. She will be a fantastic asset to the team and our clients globally.”
Campbell brings nearly a decade of legal experience and joins the Firm from global resources company BHP Billiton where she was in-house counsel and responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures in the northern hemisphere. Before joining BHP Billiton she worked for law firms Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York and Freehills in Melbourne.
“The addition of Rebecca is an important stepping stone in the development of our metals and mining industry expertise in our London and EMEA Project Finance Group,” said Philip Stopford, head of the Firm’s Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Practice in Europe, Middle East and Africa. “This will better enable us to serve our clients in London and across the EMEA region.”
Tivey joined White & Case in 2012 to lead the Firm’s Global Mining and Metals Industry Group. Based in Hong Kong, Tivey’s extensive experience has further enhanced the international team.
