Lathrop & Gage LLP announced today that Michael A. Clithero has joined the firm as a partner in the business litigation department. He will be located in the firm’s St. Louis office.
Clithero has nearly 30 years of litigation experience representing clients in a variety of industries including banking and finance, construction, manufacturing and retail. He has successfully handled jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations and resulting appeals in many areas of civil litigation, including breach of contract and business torts, broker – dealer litigation, repossession, bankruptcy, construction law, intellectual property, banking, employment contracts, products liability, trust and estate litigation, commercial real estate taxation, and employment taxation.
He also has expertise in real estate litigation working with condemnation and zoning matters, landlord / tenant issues, receiverships and foreclosures. Prior to joining Lathrop & Gage, Clithero was a partner in the St. Louis office of Husch Blackwell where he worked in the business litigation practice group.
Clithero earned his bachelor of science from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., and his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri- Columbia School of Law.
