Kennedys Welcomes Regulatory Partner Jonathan Greensmith

We are delighted to welcome Partner Jonathan Greensmith who has joined our London office from Russell Jones & Walker (RJW) where he was the Principal lawyer of their professional discipline and regulatory department. He joins the firm along with Solicitor Robert Drury to develop Kennedys’ regulatory defence practice for professional services clients.

Jonathan, a leading individual in Chambers & Partners, qualified with north-west firm Gorvins before moving to RJW, where he built a reputation as a leading specialist in the regulation of lawyers. Robert qualified with Gorvins before moving to RJW with Jonathan in 2010.

Jonathan works with individual solicitors, legal professionals, law firms and other entities of all sizes in the UK. He represents individuals overseas who require representation or advice on Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulatory compliance or disciplinary matters and is a regular advocate in the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.

At Kennedys Jonathan will expand the practice beyond the legal profession to include other professions such as accountants, surveyors and architects.

Jonathan says:

“Kennedys already has a strong regulatory defence practice working across various sectors and so the development of a professional services regulatory defence practice is a natural fit for my and Robert’s expertise. I’m looking forward to developing the practice and to working with solicitors, law firms and other professionals.”
