Bob Calamari has rejoined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Myrtle Beach office as a partner and is continuing his litigation practice.
Mr. Calamari has experience in state and federal trial courts in both North and South Carolina. His litigation experience includes being involved with insurance coverage issues, product liability issues, bad faith claims, commercial disputes, and insurance defense for insurance carriers. He also has litigation and appellate experience involving multi-million dollar insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Calamari has worked with businesses assisting with contracts, business decisions, incorporation, and business strategy. Mr. Calamari is a certified mediator and also serves as an arbitrator and special referee.
A former president of the Horry County Bar Association, he is a member of DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
Mr. Calamari earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1992, participating in Law Review and Moot Court, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University in 1988. He was a member of the Duke football team from 1984-1987 and the Duke baseball team from 1987-1988.
