SH Appoints Competition Partner to Its Corporate Practice

International law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has appointed Marta Garcia as a Competition Partner in its Corporate Practice.

Marta joins from Clifford Chance LLP where she had been a senior associate since 2007 in the Antitrust Practice specialising in EC and UK competition law. Prior to this, she was an associate at Baker & McKenzie.

Marta has advised clients on a wide range of high profile matters before the European Commission, European Courts and Office of Fair Trading across various industry sectors, including financial services, insurance, information and technology, food and drink as well as energy.

Marta has extensive experience advising clients on complex merger control filings; competition law compliance matters; distribution arrangements; joint ventures and strategic alliances as well as defending clients in international cartels and abuse of dominance investigations. Marta has advised a range of clients including Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Callaway Golf, Swiss Re and Chevron.
