Norton Rose Grows Warsaw Team with Corporate Hire

International law firm Norton Rose has appointed Pawel Bajno as a partner in its corporate practice in Warsaw. Pawel was previously a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Pawel is one of the leading private equity and M&A lawyers in Poland. Pawel has particular experience advising private equity funds in M&A transactions, including public M&A transactions, public to private transactions and exit strategies. He also advises regularly on corporate governance matters and Polish capital markets and securities law.

Pawel joins Norton Rose’s Warsaw office, which has five partners, including two existing corporate partners – Piotr Strawa and Agnieszka Stankiewicz.

Piotr Strawa, partner and Head of the Warsaw office at Norton Rose, commented:

“Pawel is an incredibly strong corporate lawyer, particularly in the private equity space where he has acted on some of the country’s headline transactions in recent years and maintains strong links with a number of houses active in the region. He’s a great fit for our team in Warsaw, which is an important regional hub for us.”

Pawel Bajno commented:

“This is an exciting time to be joining Norton Rose in Warsaw. The private equity market in Poland continues to be busy, and Polish GDP is expected to increase by more than 2% in 2012. Norton Rose is well placed to help its clients make the most of that growth, drawing on its established position in the country as well as its growing international footprint. I’m looking forward to playing my part in the continued success of the firm.”
