Banking & Finance Partner Luke Morris Joins Locke Lord’s London Office

Finance & Banking lawyer Luke Morris has joined the London office of Locke Lord as a Partner in its fast growing transactional banking team, adding yet another significant layer of skill sets to the Firm’s important Banking & Finance team in the UK. Morris’ broad range of experience will add further breadth and depth to Locke Lord’s banking capabilities and help better meet client demand in real estate finance, corporate/acquisition finance, fund finance and restructuring finance.

Morris comes to Locke Lord from Mishcon de Reya, where he headed up the banking and finance team for the past five years. He regularly advises lenders, financial institutions, real estate and private equity houses and funds on a broad range of debt financing transactions. These include real estate investments and developments, leveraged buy-outs, corporate loans, swap and hedging transactions, refinancings, recapitalisations, work-outs and restructurings.

“Luke’s excellent reputation and broad finance and banking experience will help to grow our Firm’s transactional banking platform throughout the UK and internationally,” said Firm Chair Jerry Clements. Morris has demonstrated the kind of entrepreneurial spirit during his career that meshes well with Locke Lord’s philosophy, she said.

Adding Morris to Locke Lord’s Banking & Finance team in London brings more critical mass to important transactional banking areas such as energy and trade finance; banking lending, particularly cross-border loans; asset finance; project finance; capital markets; debt funding; and structured finance.
