Michael King Joins Edwards Wildman as Litigation Partner in Chicago

The law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that Michael H. King is a new partner in the Litigation Department. King will reside in the firm’s Chicago office.

In his more than three decades of practice, King has represented clients in major civil and criminal litigation, including white collar crime, intellectual property, antitrust and employment-related issues. He has represented financial institutions in trust, real estate and commercial litigation. A former federal prosecutor, King’s areas of focus have included counseling clients regarding FCPA, patent infringement, securities, dealings with multiple federal agencies and complex commercial litigation throughout the United States and overseas. He has also conducted numerous internal investigations both domestically and internationally. He has represented individuals and companies in federal and state grand jury investigations in a variety of industries.

King comes to Edwards Wildman from Neal Gerber & Eisenberg, where he practiced in the General and Commercial Litigation group. Previously, he was one of the founders of the Chicago office of LeBoeuf Lamb and was the managing partner of the Chicago office of Dewey & LeBoeuf. He has also practiced at Ross & Hardies, serving as chairman of that firm’s Executive Committee. King started his law career as a special attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s organized crime and racketeering section in Chicago and later became an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.

A graduate of Washington University and Washington University’s School of Law, King is a member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to the US Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, US Tax Court and multiple federal courts of appeals and district courts throughout the United States.
