International law firm Salans has appointed Igor Ostrowski as a Partner and Head of its Central and Eastern European IP, Technology & Communications Practice. He is based in Salans’ Warsaw office.
Ostrowski is a high profile IP, telecommunications, electronic media and new technologies specialist in Poland and the surrounding region. After spending over 15 years in leading law firms, for the last three years he has been Deputy Minister of the Polish Ministry of Administration and Digitization, and a member of the Team of Strategic Advisors to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.
Ostrowski is the only Polish member of the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group at the Internet Governance Forum – a forum for policy dialogue on internet governance. In 2006-2009 he was ranked as a leading lawyer in Poland by Chambers Europe, Legal 500 EMEA and PLC Which Lawyer?.
Igor Ostrowski said: “After a three year-break, I am going back to private practice and I feel that Salans is the best platform for me to do this. My intention is to continue my work aimed at developing the Digital Poland initiative and to share my knowledge and expertise to further the development on the web sector in Poland and other CEE jurisdictions.”
