The Chicago office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Donald E. Bingham as a partner in the firm’s finance practice. Bingham joins K&L Gates from Sidley Austin LLP.
Bingham focuses his practice in the areas of commercial lending, intellectual property finance, capital markets, and structured finance transactions. Representing domestic and international lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured loan transactions, he has assisted in structuring and closing financings totaling more than $11 billion. In addition to having advised large U.S. banks and Fortune 100 companies in the health care, energy, e-commerce, and real estate industries, Bingham also has represented lenders in numerous innovative film financings related to productions from major Hollywood studios.

Bingham’s arrival follows several other recent partner additions to K&L Gates’ growing finance practice, including four new lawyers in London, as well as additions in the firm’s Dubai and Milan offices.
