Baker & McKenzie Hires Leading London-Based International Arbitrator

Leading global law firm Baker & McKenzie has further expanded its London and global dispute resolution practice with the appointment of leading international arbitration and litigation lawyer, Steve Abraham, as partner.

Steve joins the Firm from City law firm Norton Rose where he concentrated in handling disputes for clients in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure (EMI) sector. His practice includes international commercial arbitrations, Bilateral Investment Treaty arbitrations, adjudications, expert determinations and High Court litigation. He has a particular focus on high-growth markets, especially North and Sub-Saharan Africa, China and Turkey. He also provides advisory support on transactions and non-contentious matters.

Steve joins a growing London Dispute Resolution practice and will work closely with other London arbitration partners including: Jeremy Winter, who also focuses on international arbitration in the EMI sector, Edward Poulton and John Leadley.

The appointment follows the hires of leading arbitrators and litigators Alfonso Gómez-Acebo and José María Alonso Puig in Madrid earlier this year.
