DLA Piper represented Fibra UNO, the first real estate investment trust to be listed on Mexico’s stock exchange, in a private placement to acquire real estate in an amount of US$850 million.
Under the terms of the deal, Fibra UNO will pay 471.35 million certificates to real estate contributors of 15 properties and rights to collect rent from a concession. This is the third transaction DLA Piper has handled for Fibra UNO since February this year.
The Mexico City-based team representing Fibra UNO was led by DLA Piper’s Guillermo Uribe with assistance from Jorge González, Cecilia Zaldívar and Adrián Gay.
