Curtis Alva and Alison Brown Join Holland & Knight’s South Florida Litigation Practice

Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Curtis Alva has joined the firm as a partner and Alison Brown has joined as an associate. Mr. Alva and Ms. Brown are members of the South Florida Litigation Practice Group and work in the firm’s West Palm Beach office.

Curtis Alva represents clients in complex corporate litigation including matters that involve mergers & acquisitions, corporate control, corporate governance, class and derivative actions involving fiduciary duties, securities, RICO and fraud. Mr. Alva received his J.D. degree from Yale Law School and his B.A. degree from Idaho State University. Prior to joining Holland & Knight he was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; Shutts & Bowen; and, most recently, the Gunster law firm.

Alison Brown represents clients in complex business litigation, including cases involving commercial foreclosures, securities fraud claims, contract disputes and environmental permitting. Her previous experience includes serving as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge, Kenneth L. Ryskamp. She received her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and her B.A. degree from Millikin University. Ms. Brown was previously an associate with the Gunster Law firm.

Holland & Knight’s South Florida Litigation Practice Group has added eight trial lawyers and litigators in its Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach offices during the past year.
