Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP welcomes six new attorneys – one partner, one of counsel, and four associates – to its Atlanta office. The new attorneys are joining the litigation, healthcare, and corporate teams and bring the office’s total to 93 attorneys.
Patricia Britton has joined Nelson Mullins as a partner. Her practice focuses in the area of business litigation, with an emphasis on automobile franchise litigation and counseling. She has worked in the automobile industry for almost 30 years, including 13 years as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Porsche Cars North America, Inc., and 11 years as managing counsel for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. Ms. Britton earned a Juris Doctor from the University of California at Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law and an A.B. in English from the University of California at Berkeley.
Holly Elizabeth Stroud is of counsel to Nelson Mullins. Her practice focuses in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and securities. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Ms. Stroud served as Senior Counsel, Mergers & Acquisitions for GE Energy. She was also an attorney for AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines from 1995 – 2002. While at AMR Corporation, she served as Vice President & General Counsel of American Eagle Airlines. Ms. Stroud earned a Juris Doctor, with honors, from Duke University School of Law and a B.B.A, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University.
Katelyn Fredericks has joined Nelson Mullins as an associate. She practices in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital. She has experience representing lenders and borrowers in structuring, negotiating, documents, closing and working out loan and other credit transactions. Ms. Fredericks earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2007.
Anne Tyler Hamby has joined Nelson Mullins as an associate and practices in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation. She focuses on counseling clients on health and welfare and retirement plan design, implementation and administration matters, and employee benefits issues related to corporate mergers and acquisitions. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of law in 2006; a Master of Laws in Taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007; and a Master of Science in International Development from University of Bath in 2001. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics, magna cum laude, in 2000 from Birmingham-Southern College.
Roger Mitchell has joined Nelson Mullins as an associate. He practices in the areas of corporate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and securities. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Mitchell worked for an international law firm where he worked on various debt financing transactions. He earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001.
Paul Rothstein has joined Nelson Mullins as an associate. He practices in the areas of corporate law. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Rothstein worked in the Birmingham, Ala., office of another law firm. He earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2009 and a B.B.A., magna cum laude, in International Business from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business in 2006.
