Johnny Chiu Joins Morrison Foerster’s Washington Office

Johnny Chiu has been recruited to the Washington office of Morrison Foerster, according to the firm’s press release.  The intellectual property litigation partner brings significant experience representing Asian clients in U.S. patent matters.  He is fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese.

“Johnny has built a robust patent litigation practice focused on Chinese and Taiwanese technology companies, which are increasingly drawn into matters before the U.S. courts and the ITC,” said Alexander J. Hadjis, co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. “His language skills and familiarity with Chinese law and culture assure he will be an invaluable resource for our clients.”

Chiu received his J.D. from Tulane University and an L.L.M. from American University.  He joins the firm from Covington & Burling.
